Feet first every week - A whānau and caregivers guideThe whānau and caregivers guide on Feet First Walk to School Every Week is a booklet that encourages students, whānau and caregivers to make the journey to school on foot for at least once a week, every week. The booklet discusses the benefits for parents and children of walking to school and looks at practical ways they can make it happen. Students are encouraged to safely walk with caregivers and friends or join school walking initiatives where possible. The guidelines have been developed to cater for a range of trainees and suit both school and adult training environments. The guidelines are based on a number of outcomes to ensure that demonstrated ability is achieved at each grade.
